About Us
Optimata is a furniture factory established in the town of Ukmergë situated at about 70 km to the north from Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, which has been the cradle of Lithuanian furniture production for ages.
The furniture is made from the natural birch wood and decorated by the colours of cherry-tree, chestnut, wenge or light oak, which reveal natural beauty of the wood. The collection has been accentuated by the accessories and fittings of polished chromium and artificially-aged aluminium. To make its furniture Optimata uses only thoroughly selected firm and nice-looking extra birch wood of the highest quality (branchless), which is close to Sycamore by its structure.
The collection of Optimata represents the subtleness of style that reveals the purified lines of Art Deco. The last decade of the past century has been known as a period of essential changes with the rising of modernism and effloresce of design and architecture.
The designers of Optimata materialise the energy and graphic forms of the ART DECO style but at the same time there is a sense of a spectacular modern style.
Optimatais a factory producing all kinds of carcass furniture from a chair and table to a bed (it is a very rare example among the furniture producers, who usually specialise in one sphere); therefore, the furniture sets of Bedroom, Dinning-room and Sitting-room are successfully compounded to the integrated design lines (five).
The furniture lines both solemn and playful and the same time reflect the classical urban style as their boat-tailed and seductive lines and geometric forms represent the modern style interpretation. The main design branch is ART DECO; although references to other styles may be also noticed, such as:
BRAVO with the French classical elements and Moroccan influence; the line has been connected by stair-step cut-outs.
DORIS with a touch of English colonial style and eclectic mode of the Thirties; the whole line has been joined by wood carvings.
N.Y. - the genuine ART DECO style - represents abstract geometric forms (the line joined by the pyramids) connecting classical and modern styles.
LILIAN takes us to an entirely new dimension of design. The line has been joined by rounded forms that also look ponderous and unfold a subtle luxury represented by the MODERN style.
The pieces of furniture produced by Optimata reflect the Italian furniture production and woodwork techniques; that becomes evident from a particular richness of tarsias, inlays, carvings and 45 degree junctions. The masters of Optimata were educated by the Italian artists.
The foundation of Optimata furniture factory is a huge amount of manual work.
